Economics of farm households' food demand in Nigeria

In paper was used the panel data from Nigeria General Household Survey and commodity prices alternative sources between 2010-2016 to estimate farm households' food non-food demand in Nigeria. The bundles of all groups were necessities goods, as their budget elasticities positive also inelastic. Animal products a luxury good. There is no strong complementary substitutive relationship existing cross price estimated smaller than own elasticities. Households' expenditure on pulses not affected by changes prices. Policy issue such stable important ensuring that households are assisted encourage consuming balance diets.
